About Some Fruits IV

The object is created from the wood of a field pear tree that is over one hundred years old. To prolong its life, the cracks and rotten areas of the trunk were originally filled with concrete, but over the years it collapsed. The pear shape, which is reminiscent of the shape of the female body, evokes associations with love and pregnancy - it is no coincidence that in ancient Greece the pear was associated with Aphrodite (goddess of love and desire) and Hera (goddess of marriage).
