About Paul Beckrich

Paul Beckrich's figures are created in an intensive dialogue between the matter and the artist, which always begins with the modelling of the head. "As my state of mind flows into my works, I therefore work very consciously when I am calm. I deliberately take a great deal of time to model the face, as it reflects the soul of the artwork. Being able to work artistically in this way makes me just proud and happy. A happiness that I would like to pass on with my work." explains Paul Beckrich.

More about Paul Beckrich

Beckrich’s works are inspired by his numerous travels and historic research. His sculptures are dressed in folkloric or medieval garments whose materiality is rendered in an incredibly natural way. In doing so, Beckrich manages to make the contrasts of the drapery, the folds in the fabrics and all the other details of the costumes particularly effective through his filigree art.
