A Grand Hotel for the World

Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa is one of the few German Grand Hotels of world renown and also the birthplace of the exclusive Oetker Collection. But the Brenners is more than “just” a luxury hotel with a 150-year history. It is its vivid philosophy that combines beauty, culture, health and culinary experiences – all in the middle of a lush private park in picturesque Baden-Baden.

A hotel jewel in family hands

In addition to 100 individually furnished rooms and suites, the hotel has the ultra-modern "Villa Stéphanie Spa & Wellbeing" and Brenners Medical Care Services. Once you are there, you sense that the elegant hotel has been owned by two families only in its fifteen decades – or as Frank Sinatra put it: "Wherever you go, Brenner's is the best.".

The beginnings

It all began with the purchase of the then French-influenced hotel "Stéphanie-les-Bains" by Anton Alois Brenner on 21 October 1872. Camille Brenner, his son, was fortunately a talented hotelier who transformed the Hotel Stephanie into a world-class grand hotel. The exceptional hotelier laid the foundation for a hotel complex 2.5 hectares in size, which after only two decades is regarded as the leading enterprise in the entire Grand Duchy of Baden.

Having become a silent partner in the year 1923, the grand hotel passed into the hands of Rudolf-August Oetker in the 1940s becoming the first luxury hotel in today’s Oetker Collection. He also involved himself in numerous activities for the benefit of the town and soon entrusted his daughter Countess Bergit Douglas with the interior design of his much-cherished Brenners.

The Spa DNA

Always closely linked to the historical heritage of the spa town of Baden-Baden, an ambitious idea is given a name – Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa. Today almost a matter of course, at that time a small sensation: the hotel swimming pool built in 1975. Its Roman-style architecture follows the idea of tranquillity and symmetry and allows beautiful views of the park.

After extensive modernisation, the new spa opens in 2015 in the historic Villa Stéphanie. Close to the main building of the hotel, it offers a holistic health concept that reflects the hotel's decades of experience and core competence in the areas of spa and medicine. With the Villa Stéphanie Spa & Wellbeing and the Brenners Medical Care, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa today disposes a real health jewel with a holistic offer for body, mind and soul.
