Royal Fashion Education and Dedication

In 2008, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya received her bachelor's degree in Fine and Applied Arts from Chulalongkorn University's Department of Creative Arts in Bangkok. Her academic journey didn't stop there; she continued to pursue her passion for fashion by enrolling in postgraduate studies at L’École de la Chambre Syndicale et de la Couture Parisienne (IFM – Institut Français de la Mode) in Paris, France, where she earned a Master's degree in design.

Guided by her grandmother, Queen Sirikit, she developed a profound fascination with fashion and Thai textiles, setting the stage for her illustrious career. Through internships with renowned luxury brands like Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Balmain, and Bulgari, she refined her skills and cemented her commitment to supporting the Thai Silk industry, which continues to be a defining feature of her fashion creations.

Exploring Asian Fashion and Thai Traditions

Expanding her horizons beyond Western fashion, she delved into Asian fashion by studying 'Kimono Printing and Applied Art' at Kinsai Yusen in Kyoto, Japan.

Following in the footsteps of her grandmother, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, who has devoted her royal patronage to preserving Thai silk and traditional hand-woven textiles, as well as supporting Thai weaving villages throughout the country, HRH Princess Sirivannavari is committed to carrying forward Her Majesty's legacy while pursuing her own artistic aspirations.

2005


Inspired by Pop Art, ‘Red Hobby’, Princess Sirivannavari first collection was created in 2004 while studying at Chulalongkorn University. 2005 SIRIVANNAVARI was founded officially. It debuted with the princess second collection ‘Viva Victorian’ for which the beauty of Victorian era was reinterpreted for a contemporary fashion look with a punk style Peacock, one of the brand signatures, used as a motif for bijoux.

2015

Unveiling ‘SIRIVANNAVARI COUTURE’, an exclusive collection which drew inspiration from the royal wardrobe of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother with the signature silhouettes of the brand. The textiles used in the collection are sourced from local silk weavers, giving the collection its unique character. To complete and finish daily look for every woman’s wardrobe, SIRIVANNAVARI Bijoux was officially launched in January 2015.

2019

Founded in 2016 the SIRIVANNAVARI Atelier and Academy has played a vital role in developing its embroidery technique by combining Thai traditional embroidery craftsmanship with Western techniques. The work was clearly visible in the ‘Abode of Metamorphosis’ Spring/Summer 2019 collection and later in the first Autumn/Winter collection of the brand.

2023

SIRIVANNAVARI returns to Paris. During Paris Fashion Week, the brand presented its Fall/Winter 2023/24 collection during a two-day presentation at the Ritz. It was acclaimed and warmly welcomed by the international fashion press.
